Dexter Facilitator Adds SKALE Support

Dexter x402 Facilitator Goes Live on SKALE Europa — The First Chain Where Settlement Costs Nothing

What Zero Actually Means

FEBRUARY 2026 — Every blockchain charges gas. Dexter has always sponsored those fees for buyers — eating the SOL, the ETH, the AVAX — so that AI agents can transact without holding native tokens. It works, but someone still pays.

On SKALE Europa, nobody pays. Gas is denominated in sFUEL, a token that costs nothing to obtain and nothing to spend. For the first time in Dexter's facilitator network, the entire settlement — buyer, seller, facilitator — executes at zero cost.

SKALE Europa is now live across Dexter's facilitator at x402.dexter.cash, supporting both x402 v1 and v2.

Why This Matters

Dexter processes millions of autonomous payments. At scale, gas adds up. Even on cheap L2s, a facilitator running tens of thousands of daily settlements is budgeting real money for transaction fees. That spending gets passed through — in rate limits, in backpressure caps, in the invisible friction that shapes what's economically viable to sell.

SKALE Europa removes that entire category of cost. There's no gas budget. No per-chain spending caps. No backpressure throttling based on native token burn. The only limits that apply are settlement rate limits — the kind that protect the network, not the kind that protect a treasury.

This is what the infrastructure should look like for machine-to-machine payments that happen millions of times a day.

Why SKALE

SKALE isn't another L2 racing to the bottom on fees. It's architecturally different. Gas is a network resource, not a commodity. sFUEL is distributed freely through public faucets, and transactions execute with the same EVM compatibility that developers expect — same Solidity, same tooling, same wallets.

Europa is SKALE's designated hub for DeFi and stablecoin settlement. It's where bridged USDC lives, where liquidity concentrates, and where payment infrastructure like Dexter's facilitator belongs.

What's Next
