Connect to Dexter Externally

Dexter Voice beta is the quickest way to feel the product.

Run the live mic tutorial, execute a small trade, and then extend the workflow into your favourite chat agents.

First-time setup should be done using a desktop browser. First, sign in to your Dexter account here on dexter.cash. Once logged in, open a new ChatGPT or Claude tab and follow the platform-specific instructions below.

ChatGPT Connector

  1. Open ChatGPT in a desktop browser while signed into your Dexter account.
  2. Head to Settings → Apps & Connectors, click Create (top-right), and fill in:
    • Name: Dexter
    • Description: optional
    • MCP Server URL: https://dexter.cash/mcp
    • Authentication: Dexter login popup
    • Icon: optional
  3. Approve the Dexter sign-in popup—your wallet and authorisation sync automatically after the prompt.
  4. Back in Apps & Connectors, scroll to Advanced options and toggle Developer Mode on so the connector stays active.

If ChatGPT ever says the connector needs attention, revisit Apps & Connectors and hit “Connect” again—your settings stay intact.

Claude Connector

  1. Open Claude in a desktop browser while signed into your Dexter account.
  2. Go to Settings → Connectors and click Add custom connector. Use:
    • Name: Dexter
    • Remote MCP server URL: https://dexter.cash/mcp
    Leave the advanced options alone—defaults are perfect.
  3. Approve the Dexter sign-in popup, wait for Claude to show “Connected,” then close any setup tabs—you’re ready to use it.

If Claude ever pauses responses, re-open Settings → Connectors and press “Connect” on Dexter to refresh it.
