Dexter Facilitator Adds Optimism Support

JANUARY 2026 — Dexter, the powering millions of x402 settlements, today announces native support for Optimism Mainnet – bringing Dexter's gas-sponsored payment infrastructure to the foundation of the Superchain.

Optimism joins Solana, Base, Polygon, Avalanche, and Arbitrum as the sixth major chain supported by Dexter's facilitator.

Why Optimism?

Optimism pioneered the OP Stack, the technology that powers Base and dozens of other chains. As the original Superchain network, Optimism represents the future of Ethereum scaling through shared infrastructure and governance.

For x402 sellers, Optimism support means:

How It Works

Dexter's Optimism integration follows the same pattern as all EVM chains:

  1. Buyer signs an EIP-3009 authorization for USDC transfer
  2. Dexter facilitator validates the payment details
  3. Settlement executes with Dexter sponsoring the ETH gas fee
  4. USDC arrives in the seller's wallet

Average settlement time: under 2 seconds.
