Dexter Facilitator Adds Polygon Support

JANUARY 2026 — Dexter, powering millions of x402 settlements, today announces native support for Polygon – bringing Dexter's gas-sponsored payment infrastructure to one of the most widely adopted EVM networks in crypto.

Polygon joins Solana and Base as the third major chain supported by Dexter's facilitator, enabling developers and AI agents to accept USDC payments on Polygon without requiring buyers to hold POL for gas.

Polygon processes more daily transactions than any other EVM chain. With millions of active wallets and deep DeFi integrations, it's where a significant portion of crypto commerce already happens.

How It Works

Dexter's Polygon integration uses the same battle-tested infrastructure that powers Solana and Base:

  1. Buyer signs an EIP-3009 authorization for USDC transfer
  2. Dexter facilitator validates the payment details
  3. Settlement executes with Dexter sponsoring the POL gas fee
  4. USDC arrives in the seller's wallet

Multi-Chain Backpressure

Dexter's backpressure system now tracks gas spending per native token. Polygon transactions consume POL caps separately from ETH caps on Base/Arbitrum/Optimism. This ensures fair rate limiting across chains without cross-contamination.

To accept Polygon payments, simply specify eip155:137 (or polygon for v1) as your supported network in your x402 payment requirements:
